I met David in 1069 when I took NGDB to the Main Point coffee house in Philly. We had gone there to see Jerry Jeff, whom we dd not yet know, and to hear Bojangles from the horse's mouth. He could not do it that night in the dressing room (we got there right when he finished), so David played it for us. It came out the month ad.. changed my life for sure. Always liked david's version, and ut it on the Made in Brooklyn album.
